Hardware:
Pi5 8GB.
Raspberry Pi Active Cooler.
Raspberry Pi 7" Touch Screen.
32GB Sandisk Ultra Micro SD.
500GB Kingston NV2 500G M.2
Geekworm X1001 PCIe to M.2
80CM PCIE Geekworm FFC Cable.
KKSB Aluminum Case for Raspberry Pi 5 & Compatible with Official Raspberry Pi 7-Inch Touchscreen.
Raspberry Pi 5A Power Supply.
Raspberry Pi 64 Bit
Settings:
PCIE Gen 3 Enabled
Boot Order is 0x146
Issue:
When I boot the Pi with only the M.2 drive installed, the boot up is slow and if I'm lucky enough to get a GUI, it will play music via BT with crackling sounds. Then it will intermittently lose WIFI and BT will drop, then the system freezes.
If I have to have the Micro SD installed at the same time as the NVME drive, everything works perfectly, even though the Micro SD is not the boot drive.
For some reason, it just has to have the Micro SD installed in order for me to use the NVME drive.
The Geekworm X1001hat is installed on top of the touchscreen PCB with standoffs so that it fits in the case. The cable is 80cm in length.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
