Advanced users • Rollback to 6.6.62 / Audio Issue

We have a system based on Asterisk that is used in amateur radio applications. For legacy reasons (we are trying to eliminate), it still writes to `/dev/dsp` and needs the s`nd_pcm_oss` interface. Many of our 2000+ users use Raspberry Pi OS 12. After the latest upgrade from 6.6.62 to 6.6.74, the audio has a chopping problem roughly every half second. We ran into this on normal Debian 12 after 6.1.119. Something in the kernel has broken what we're doing. However that isn't the point, just the backstory....

How can I roll a Rapsberry Pi OS back to 6.6.62? The sticking point seems to be that linux-image-rpi-v8 for 6.6.62 (and all previous kernel releases) vanished with the release of 6.6.74 in the repo. I'm trying to develop a script that non-Linux-skilled people can execute one-shot to roll back the kernel to a working version. The idea is to roll everything back to 6.6.62 and then `apt-mark` them not to upgrade until we've figure out a fix.

I've tried removing the linux-image-rpi-v8 package, which works per apt/deb with no issues but then the system does not boot after the removal of the 6.6.74 kernels. Somehow removing 6.6.74 and the image metapackage is rendering the system unbootable. I've been able to run `/etc/kernel/postinst.d/initramfs-tools` on the kernel of choice and that seems to install the right parts. But is there any way to do it just with apt/dpkg?

And is there anywhere to download the old linux-image-rpi-v8 for 6.6.62?
