OK I sort of realised that I'd assumed the wrong behaviour from CMProvisioner (I assumed it would bring the wifi up as an access point), due to our setup it would be most convenient if the wifi could be configured as an AP not a device.
Looks like I can't delete this post so while I'm googling how to set up an AP anyone who has a good guide on how to feel free to post it![:D]( "Very Happy")
