Troubleshooting • Autologin problem [bookworm]

Hello, I have a pi3 that I have upgraded to bookworm version of raspbian.

The pi3 works ok (mostly) but I have a problem making autologin work.
I am trying to run in kiosk mode (chromium running a webpage). I cannot get it to autologin.
Also VNC connection sometimes works and a lot of the times timesout.
If I login manually the rest of the staff works but it will not autologin.
I have tried raspi-config multiple times.

Custom service status:
: unclutter: could not open display
: Error: Can't open display: (null)
: Failed creating new xdo instance
: [1243:1243:0207/082106.783237:ERROR:ozone_platform_x11.cc(239)] Missing X server or $DISPLAY
: [1243:1243:0207/082106.786058:ERROR:env.cc(257)] The platform failed to initialize. Exiting.
