I am working with: a raspberry pi 3 b, two Sainsmart 5v 8 channel relays, and 15 Keyestudio magnet modules. This project will be used to do an archery shoot with balloons for three people, and the balloons will randomly release every 15 seconds in random order in 3 groups of 5, one balloon in each group at a time.
My questions are:
1. is it possible to use only the raspberry pi to power the two Sainsmart relays? If so, is there are wiring diagram I can follow?
2. if it is NOT possible to use only the raspberry pi to power the relays, does anyone have any recommendations for two 5 volt power packs that can be ran off of a battery? as this will be used in a remote area with no access to plug in power.
3. the magnet modules say they max at .3 amps. If an additional power supply is needed for the relays, can this be controlled by the pi via say a python script that limits the output?
Thank you in advance for the assistance. If more information is needed, I can happily provide it.
